Great restaurant in the middle of Cardiff. Food was great and the menu was exciting. Really enjoyed the process of going up to the counter and choosing the food fresh from the counter, made it a more interesting dining experience. Although, we did sit there for about an hour waiting for a menu because we didn’t realise you had to go up and read the board for the menu’s instead of getting a paper menu in front of you - that’s a reflection on our own idiocy not the restaurant. Previously hired the top private room for a corporate function and it was a perfect venue.
A busy restaurant with attentive staffs to cater for you needs.Food looked so appetizing before I start…that my stomach began to rumble. The slow cook lamb is properly cooked & seasoned, leaving a pleasant aftertaste in your mouth. Simple is the best, better all the rest. Finger-licking
Visited this place a few times now for a date night with my mrs, I must say we are always extremely impressed with the quality of food but most importantly how attentive & friendly the staff are. As soon as your through the door your treated with smiles & a happy atmosphere. The restaurant features lovely art deco styled theme with an open kitchen which is immaculate. You can go up and select the exact cut of meat or fish you’d like which I think is amazing The wine selection here is great and they have a lot to choose from but if your stuck then ask the staff as they are extremely knowledgeable about the wine pairing. If your visiting cardiff definitely make a reservation as you won’t be disappointed this place is a real gem
There are many posh places in South Wales, that can put for a poshest Sunday dinner you will ever experience in a lifetime. Le Monde in Cardiff has the beautiful atmosphere with Art Deco posters. The salad bowl canopy is very juicy for a healthy choice. The small lamb ribs were great with the hot marinade sauce. You can eat that with your hands and wipe it clean afterwards. My favourite main course is Swordfish steak. Is very tender with the roast vegetables and chips. It’s great to have swordfish on Sunday. that most other posher people prefer lamb or Cornish Brill. The slice of strawberry cheesecake is very rich, but not filling without the cappuccino as post-desert. Another job well done for going to the French brassiere in Cardiff reviewed.
It was really good. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about wine, and recommended a really really nice dry white wine for our meal. I can't wait to go back and eat the food again. It was so filling and I defo dreamt about it that night. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is due to the level of noise in the restaurant. It was to the point where I left while my partner waited for the bill. When we go back will definelty have to enquire to sit in a different area of the restaurant than the bar area.
